All products that are advertised on FSC Marketplace should be FSC certified. Companies are solely responsible for their profile entries. FSC does not take responsibility for the correctness, completeness or quality of such entries. We recommend that you always check the validity of products claiming to be FSC certified by looking for the label and checking the invoice.
No. FSC Marketplace advertises only FSC certified products that are registered in the FSC certificate database (info.fsc.org). Products that are not FSC certified may not be advertised on FSC Marketplace.
Each profile is connected to one FSC certificate. An FSC group certificate has a single corresponding profile on FSC Marketplace which covers all group members and sites under the scope of the certificate.
Yes. If you would like to display your business separately from the group profile, please contact your certificate manager. They can enable members of a group to activate their own individual profiles.
The certificate manager represents the group and manages the certificate on behalf of the members. The certificate manager can create the Marketplace profile for the group, update the profiles of the different group members based on their input, or give permission to individual group members to manage their own profiles.
We are a company with many different sites and hold an FSC multi-site certificate. Can we list all of our sites on FSC Marketplace?
It is possible to list all of your sites on FSC Marketplace. Sites that are covered by your FSC certificate will be listed in ‘My Marketplace/Manage certificates’. If you do not see all of your sites there, please ask your certification body to add the missing sites to the scope of your certificate in the FSC certificate database.
Please get in touch with your national Marketplace contact point to learn what options are available for your country.
Please enter the Latin scientific name or English common name in the search field ‘Species.’ At the moment, the species search function is available in Latin and English.
Premium profiles will appear in search results before basic profiles. Both premium and basic profiles will be listed in random order.
Do I need to check the validity of a supplier even if the supplier is registered on FSC Marketplace?
Yes. To verify the validity of a certificate, please check the FSC certificate database (info.fsc.org).
No. The FSC certificate database remains the main mechanism for checking validity of an FSC certificate.
Please read the terms and conditions of FSC Marketplace here.
If you have concerns about a profile, please notify us using the ‘Report this profile’ button at the top of each profile. Please be very specific about why you are reporting the profile so that we can follow up immediately.
GMulti-site chain of custody certification is for organizations operating multiple sites, allowing certification bodies to evaluate sites based on samples in recognition of existing common, centrally administered and monitored control and reporting systems
• Group chain of custody certification is for groups of independent, small organizations, allowing certification bodies to evaluate participating operations by using samples based on common, centrally administered and monitored control and reporting systems.
Small and community refers to products that originate from FSC certified small or community producers. Small and community producers include those who have a small area of forest, harvest timber at a low intensity, or are part of a community that owns and manages a forest, or agrees as a group to let a third party manage the forest for them. Small and community producers include, for example, small woodlot owners, family foresters, small non-industrial private forest owners, community forestry operators and non-timber forest product harvesters.
I do not get any search results. Does that mean that the product I am looking for is not available as FSC certified?
If you don’t get any search results this means that this product has not yet been listed on FSC Marketplace, but it does not mean that this product does not exist. FSC Marketplace profiles are filled in by FSC certified businesses, so it might just be that no FSC certified business has yet registered the product you are looking for. If you cannot find what you are looking for, you can contact the FSC national office in your country or mail to email@example.com to let us know what you are looking for.

We have updated our terms and conditions to reflect changes on the website. When you are signing in to your user account for the first time you will be asked to accept our terms again before you can proceed.
After making big updates to the content of the Marketplace, we are working on updating the translations, too. More languages will follow over the coming months.
We have improved the way that managers of FSC group certificates can manage profiles of members of the group certificate. If you manage a group profile on FSC Marketplace you can now update the profiles of the different group members based on their input or give permission to individual group members to manage their own profiles. In My Marketplace/Manage certificates you can manage and assign all profiles.
We have improved the way that certificate managers of FSC multiple-site certificates can manage profiles of participating sites of the multiple-site certificate. If you manage profiles on FSC Marketplace related to a multiple site certificate, you can now update the profiles of the different participating sites based on their input or give permission to individuals to manage their own profiles. In My Marketplace/Manage certificates, you can manage and assign all profiles.
We updated and consolidated the list of industries to make it more specific. If you want to edit your current industry and choose one of the sectors from the new list please log in to your user account, go to My Marketplace and choose the box Manage profiles.
Click on the ‘Edit’ icon behind the profile you wish to edit. In the Box ‘Details’ on the right hand side open the drop-down menu and choose your industry.
If you don’t find your industry in the list, please send us an email. We will update this list frequently to keep it relevant.
Products are now below your profile in individual boxes. If you have not yet added titles to the products on your profiles please access your profile in the edit mode and name all your products. This ensures that products can be found through the search. Product names should be clear and precise; a good title will attract visitors to view your product and help to find it in the search. Keep the title relevant and the spelling correct so that products can be found in by searching.
